Corporate Moves: L&T’s Mega Power Deal, Pfizer’s Vaccine Launch, and Indian Hotels’ Acquisitions

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has clinched a landmark order from Adani Power to construct eight thermal power units totaling 6,400 MW. Each unit will deliver 800 MW, with the project falling under L&T's 'ultra mega' category—indicating a value exceeding ₹15,000 crore. The execution will be handled by LTECLS, the company's specialized arm for advanced power and low-carbon solutions.

Pfizer introduced its 20-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV20) in India, targeting 20 serotypes responsible for the majority of pneumococcal diseases. The vaccine aims to provide broad protection for adults, particularly those with chronic conditions.

Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) moved to acquire 51% stakes in ANK Hotels and Pride Hospitality, which manage 135 properties under 'The Clarks Hotels & Resorts' brand. The cash-based transactions are slated for completion by November 2025.
